OK, Tuesday would have been a fun day to be editor of an Illinois newspaper, covering the fourth prison-bound governor of the past eight. And here is the way such an obscene story should be covered:
Not to be outdone, our Tuesday story was the pending homecoming of imprisoned former congressman Jim Traficant:
Jimbo's Coming Home

Oh Mark....you should have been here! We were on the train to the city when cell phones started ringing with the news. The passengers erupted into applause at the news of his arrest. Some were saying, "He's going to be a in pumpkin suit very soon." His wife is the spoiled brat daughter of Dick Mell, who refused to move to Springfield and assume the duties of our First Lade. Not to worry, Rod himself was often not in Springfield, even when the legislature was in session!!
Both Rod and Patty are embarassments and shame on the Illinois voters for re-electing this nut case.
Can you believe he tried to get the editorial staff at the Tribune fired, and withold funds from Children's Memorial Hospital until they donated to his campaign funds? Say bye bye Rod.
