A Great Honor!
I was stunned to wake up this morning to discover that I was named Time magazine's "Person of the Year!" It's been a wild year and, sure, this is long overdue. But, nonethless, I was overwhelmed.
I was suprised too Mark, and should probably add this to my list of awards.
Actually Time's choice was quite apropos. My friend in New York calls me the poster child for blogging. Indeed.
I simply get so excited about the prospect that anyone with a computer and an hour of free time can set themselves up as publishers. Do they actually have something to say, something to contribute? The answer to that is a resounding YES. There are so many talented people out there and now they have a chance to be heard. There are also alot of really boring and untalented people, but as in any enterprise the cream rises to the top.
How exciting is it that my blog is visited daily by people from Bolivia and Iran? How important is it that we have conversations and develop relationships with these same people. Now I ask you.......
