iPod, You Pod

Have you waited too long for an iPod? Do you feel the rest of the world has passed you by, simply because you were too stubborn to fork out $300-$400 for a top-of-the-line music/video machine?

Rest easy. Mark is here.

There are a couple of links here that will "WOW!" you with refurbished iPod deals. At the top of the page, the fine Apple store has 30 GB ipods discounted from $249 to $199 with free shipping! This is a great deal.

Over on the left rail, if you scroll down, you'll see a picture of a 30 GB black iPod.

Click it and you'll be taken to a great deal on Overstock.com. Now, click on "Add to Cart" and you'll see, with shipping, the total is $208.94. A good deal, as well.

Now, get back to this page and click on that flashy "8% off all orders" banner for Overstock.com also on the left rail. Then check your cart. Your iPod has now dropped to $192.46 including shipping.

This is an outstanding deal. I snagged my 30 GB iPod from Overstock.com in 2005 in a similar deal. I am a total iPod addict, now. I am ready to jump on a 80 GB model as soon as I am wowed by a similar deal.

More later,

Mark

I'm an IPod addict also. It's fun to have an entire collection of my photographs loaded into the machine.

My only question would be in regards to the term "refurbished". Are these iPods that were defective and returned/repaired? I can't say that's a bad thing because one of my cameras is refurbished and I've never had a bit of trouble with it.

The more interesting feature of your blog today is that fact that there's something actually happening on the beach cam. A beach umbrella appeared this morning and already I've seen speedboats and a huge tanker heading down the coast.

Hi Suzanne:

There are a lot of reasons that a product can be marked to be "refurbished" from a physical defect like discolorization to performance during testing on the production line. Units are, however, not sold as refurbished until they are repaired to meet "new" specifications. I've had mine for a while with no issues and I purchased it from Overstock.com. Even if you buy a refurbished model from Apple.com, however, you can also buy a Apple Protection Plan for an additional $59 which should ease any fears.

In any case, these are fantastic bargains.

Yes, it is indeed a beautiful day and I should be at the beach right now instead of editing video but I've got a project that I am working on...
